Sony is at the forefront of 3D TV technology with developments in 3D TV displays and peripheral equipment such as the Blu-ray 3D and 3D-compatible PlayStation 3 gaming device. But their DSLR segment is not to be left behind with the news that they are working on 3D versions of their Alpha line of DSLR cameras. Sony could be taking the cue from Fujifilm, which recently came out with the world’s first digital 3D camera, the FinePix REAL 3D W1. This consumer 3D camera was enthusiastically received by consumers when it was launched earlier this year. There are still no 3D DSLR cameras at present in the market and Sony wants its Alpha 3D DSLR to be the first one. There are speculations (and apprehensions) that the new camera will be a big machine with dual lenses protruding from its front. You need not worry because Sony could just follow what they did in their 3D movie cameras that shoot 3D through a single port.

The Powershot SX20 IS of Canon is a bridge camera loaded with amazing features. This 12.1 Megapixel SLR-like camera is equipped with Canon’s Digic 4 Image Processor that gives better quality images even at high ISO speeds. Its 20x (560 mm) Wide-Angle Optical Zoom is equipped with the Optical Image Stabilizer of Canon that makes it possible to shoot images from a distance with minimal camera shake. The camera also allows you to record videos in high definition as well as view the videos in an HD TV using its mini-HDMI connector. The 22 shooting modes allow flexibility in shooting in different situations without having to worry about making adjustments for each situation. Its large 2.5 inch Vari-Angle LCD has convenience in mind since the LCD can move up to 270o. And since it uses AA-size batteries, you can just easily purchase new ones at any store near you.

The shock-resistant G-Shock watch was introduced by Casio in 1983. This year, Casio has unveiled the thinnest compact camera designed for rugged use, the Exilim EX-G1. At a thickness of just 20 mm (0.78 in), this 12.1megapixel compact camera is designed to allow users to take pictures or shoot videos at fixed intervals. Using this feature will allow users to take great stills while enjoying their favorite active sports with the help of any commercially available tripod. Aside from being shock-resistant from a 2.13 meter (7 feet) drop, it is also waterproof up to 3 meters (10 feet) for about an hour, dustproof and resistant to temperatures as low as -10o C (14 o F) This is the most durable digital compact camera to date and will allow for all types of users.
This camera is the first in the ‘Exilim G’ camera series of Casio.
