Dell to launch Android smartphone in the US next year

Since Michael Dell himself confirmed it at a recent event, we tend to believe it. The Dell boss has confirmed the fact that the company is planning to release a smartphone in the United States next year. the phone, which will run Google’s Android mobile operating system, is rumored to be the object of a partnership between Dell and AT&T. The launch will probably happen in the first few months of 2010.
Dell has already developed a smartphone, together with Chinese mobile operator China Mobile. It is called the mini 3i oPhone and it runs a custom version of Android, that they named the oPhone OS. The phone has been officially confirmed by China Mobile. It has a 3.5” display (360 x 640 pixels resolution).
