Panasonic Lumix ZS3 – Almost a DSLR Camera
The new Panasonic Lumix ZS3 is a point and shoot digital camera with lots of amazing and powerful features. This includes a 10.1 megapixels sensor, a 25mm ultra-wide-angle Leica DC Vario-Elmar lens and a 12x optical zoom. The ZS3 is also the world’s first digital camera to have a HD video recording in “AVCHD Lite” format. Compared with conventional MJPEG and MPEG video formats, AVCHD Lite allows longer recordings with superb HD visual and audio qualities. The ZS3 also further enhances Panasonic’s popular iA (Intelligent Auto) mode with the addition of Face Recognition, a feature that remembers faces from previous shots. When a registered face appears in the frame, focus is prioritized on that person so it will appear brighter than the rest of the subjects in the picture. The iA mode is now also available in Movie Mode. This feature automatically selects the most suitable Scene mode and helps to correct focus, brightness, and handshake problems to capture beautiful still and video images. Playback of photos and video from the ZS3 is also easy with the optional HDMI cable that can be connected to HDTV sets. Alternately, you can insert the camera’s SD memory card to a VIERA HDTV’s Image Viewer SD Card slot. The ZS3 is truly a point and shoot-priced camera that comes loaded with the features of a professional DSLR camera.
