Recession Alert: Microsoft announces new addition to Platinum Hits collection
If you’re a gamer on a budget, there’s nothing better than looking for older games released under the Platinum hits label. While games often hit the Platinum collection just before a sequel or a new piece of DLC hits the shelves, they’re often a good deal for gaming’s version of “late adopters” those who are just getting into a particular scene. The new titles becoming available are Street Fighte IV, Grand Theft Auto IV, Left4Dead, Saints Row 2 and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. Of these, it’s Grand Thefy Auto that should immediately send up signals to gamers who have yet to get into the adventures of Nico Bellic. GTA IV was a widely praised title with a brand new DLC (“The Ballad of Gay Tony”) getting ready for launch, making this one sweet deal. Left4Dead, on the other hand, is about to launch a full-throated sequel, making that a somewhat less attractive game.
