Firefox Mobile RC1 is Finally Released!
Finally, the long wait for the final version of the Firefox Mobile is over. It is now available for download from the Mozilla site, http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/m/, and initially supports two Nokia Maemo devices – the N900 and the N810. The beta has been tested for some time and has now the final release called the Firefox Mobile RC1. It includes all of the features of the desktop version Firefox 3.6, with many new and mobile features added. These include the Awesome Bar, Weave-sync, Addons, password manager and a lot more. One exciting feature that was specifically developed for mobile applications is the Location-Aware Browsing. When your mobile is online, your current location is established and points of interest in the vicinity will be pushed to your device. And for other mobile users not comfortable with Nokia phones, don’t get frustrated yet because industry sources said Mozilla is also looking at the possibility of developing the Firefox Mobile for Android-enabled devices.
