Google Nexus One Cell Better Than Iphone?

Google is trying to take Apple back to the 1980′s. The good news is the competition between Google and Apple will produce better technology and have more competitive prices, so the consumer is the real winner.
The Google Nexus One will be unlocked so it can be used for any carrier. This is something the Iphone (Must have ATT) is not doing.
The price for the Google unlocked cell phone is in the $500 price range.
One reason and the biggest why the Google phone is better than the Iphone is it holds at charge for at least 24 hours, and maybe more.
Dont think though you will have an installed app for Itunes on this phone.

The iPhone Just Got Better with the BTstack Bluetooth Keyboard App

The iPhone is a great smartphone but what others have that it lacks is a physical keypad.  This handicap is about to be overcomed with the introduction of the BTstack Keyboard application.  This app, which is based on the open-source BTstack project, will allow the iPhone (and the iPod) to be connected to a Bluetooth keyboard.  The BTstack keyboard runs a daemon on the background of the iPhone where it generates keyboard tap events, resulting to an effect as if you were typing using the on-screen keyboard.  But take note that you can use this app only if you are willing to jailbreak your 3G and 3GS iPhones.  It is available at the Cydia store for $5.  Combined with a portable Bluetooth keyboard, this app can replace your laptop for making notes and writing emails while you are on the road.  This allows you to harness the power of the iPhone, which actually is a portable computer at your disposal.

You Can Now Stream Live From Your iPhone Using Ustream

We’ve been witnessing many applications being introduced to the iPhone in recent weeks.  One of the breakthroughs is the live streaming app from Ustream, a lifecasting and video streaming provider.  This is a major turnaround from the previous position of Apple not to allow live video streaming from the iPhone.  Now, with the Ustream app installed in your iPhone, you can stream pre-recorded video or live video from your iPhone’s camera through 3G or Wi-Fi networks.  You can also share your recorded video on the Ustream site, Twitter, Facebook and yes, YouTube!  Your GPS location and URL can also be imposed on the video so your friends will know how to locate you.  This app will work with the 3GS and even the 3G iPhone, which does not have a built-in video record capability.  Supported video resolutions are 320 x 240 pixels, and can be decreased to 176 x 144 if you have limited memory and bandwidth.  And you get all these amazing features from Ustream for free!

Turn Your iPhone into a Universal Remote with the RedEye

ThinkFlood is offering its RedEye to turn your iPhone and iPod touch into a universal remote control.  The software is free to download but the base station hardware comes at a suggested retail price of $188.  This is how it works: your iPhone or iPod sends commands to the base station via Wi-Fi and these commands are converted into IR.  If you have an AV device, home automation system or any gadget that responds to IR signals, your iPhone/ iPod can now control it. The base station also has a built-in dock where you can charge your iPhone or iPod.  It has a fairly good IR range, but if the device to be controlled is beyond coverage, a repeater may be required.  Multiple units can be utilized to cover additional rooms and control them all from a single iPhone/iPod.

The RedEye software is free and can be downloaded from the App Store.  IR devices are easy to add from an extensive list, and most of the devices have commands presets available.  New commands can also be learned by capturing control signals from existing remote control units. Ready-to-use control panel templates are included for many devices but you can modify them to create your own design.  If you have an iPhone or an iPod and a lot of remotes that control a lot of IR devices, the RedEye is the perfect solution to make your life a little easier.

New Generation Rubik’s Cube

It is but expected that things around us undergo evolution from basic to advance given the technology we have. One classic example would be how correspondence was carried out long ago by snail mail. Today, communication is easier and faster with the use of emails.

A toy which also underwent evolution is the Rubik’s Cube. The original version of the toy requires the player to twist and turn the cube in order to bunch up the same color in one side. As it evolved the name into Rubik’s Touch Cube. This improved version of the toy utilizes the latest touch screen technology which eliminates the twisting and turning actions. The objective of the player is still the same, however, you operate it by sliding your fingertip on the portion to be moved. This is exactly the same manner how you navigate your Iphone.

This toy evolution certainly brought back the Rubik’s Cube into life. Thanks to Techno Source, the makers of the Rubik’s TouchCube, for allowing the new generation to have their share of this brain twisting fun.
