Toshiba releases Windows 7 Touchscreen laptops

Don’t get us wrong, touchscreen laptops are not a new thing at all. Some manufacturers released such models years ago, but the fact that Windows XP or Vista were not built for that type of thing made them pretty useless for the price. Everything is supposed to change with the release of Windows 7, an operating system that has a lot more support for touch displays.
Toshiba wanted to be one of the first to the punch, so they just released two new models that take advantage Windows 7’s abilities. The Satellite M505 and U505 Touch have just been released and, besides allowing users to browse through their files and zoom into their photographs with their fingers (plus much more), they have some interesting specs. Both use Intel Core 2 Duo processors, 4 GB of RAM and 500 GB hard drives. Unfortunately, gamers won’t be too happy to hear that they pack integrated Intel GMA graphic chips.
The M505 Touch is set for an October 22 release (its price is 950 $), while the U505 Touch will be available on November 1 (1050 $).
